    Dear Society members,

Earlier today, Wednesday 31st of August at around 14.00 EEST we experienced unexpected downtime, and this has affected Solibri Solution Center access and Solibri software usage.

After working hard, we were able to resolve the issue and restore the service at 17.00 EEST and are recovering back to normal. Users are now able to access Solibri as usual.

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.
    Best regards,
    Solibri Team

It is something that could be improved, but something that has not been improved yet. I would guess this will have a low priority, since it is something that can be worked around by the user, but of course it might get fixed in some version.

    Hi @lasse-lindqvist ,

Thank you for the quick reply!

It’s helpful to see the exceptions. I aim to summarize which IfcEntity needed for a check using certain Solibri Components in the filter.

What I don’t really understand, is how the predefined type gets defined. For example, if a Solibri Ceiling Component (IfcCovering) doesn’t have an available CEILING Predefined type (IfcCoveringTypeEnum - I guess it is based on certain collected data of the entity?), then it is actually mapped as a Solibri Covering?
So is it possible that Solibri maps a ceiling (IfcCovering) to a Solibri Covering if certain parameters are not available?

    Thank you!

Predefined type does come directly from IFC. IfcCovering has PredefinedType which is optional. In this specific case, if it is empty, IfcCovering becomes Covering in Solibri.

    Hi @john-lipp!

Thank you very much for the explanation and for sending the .smc with the exact settings.
I tested it and it seems working! I am more than happy 🙂

    Many thanks!
    Have a great day!

    I don’t know which rule

    Hi Mats,

Hopefully you can use Rule #222 Component distance to check the distance between components if you are checking for exclusion (minimum setting) or within a distance (maximum setting) to check if component conform to the distance requirements.

    c7049b54-5a46-45aa-a63a-573d3c5c261c-image.png

Please see the example below where every WC requires a WHB to be within 750mm (don’t forget when using maximum distances you need to take into account the minimum number and this is initially set to 2).

If you change the Space or Space Group Containment to Space from the default value Ignore Space or Space Group then you can ensure that it only checks distances to the target components based on the Source Component.

It’s just a test thing. I’m trying the out of the box templates to get inspired from them and maybe copy some good stuff.

@chris said in Checking becomes unbearable:

    @BIM1337 result of this issue?

After contacting Solibri Support they requested me to try running the check with the Solibri 10 Alpha version. This greatly improved the speed and the checking wasn’t unbearable anymore.

They’d still investigate the model but haven’t given any updates on the issue. My guess is because it has a low priority, since the release of the new version is around the corner, and there, the issue is mostly fixed.

Hi. That is not normal. Hard to speculate about the reason with only this information. You could add

    -Dlogging_level=DEBUG

to the VM options file to enable debug logging level and send it to the support if the problem continues.

Hi. This could at least happen when you open Solibri, but Solibri opens in Anywhere mode due to connection issues. BLC is available in Anywhere, but only if you are logged in to the product. You can try reopening Solibri.

    @lasse-lindqvist said in Automatic issues:

Hi. It is not currently possible. Would you also want to be able to choose if it would create slides for category, result and result-component combinations, or only at the result level?

I created an internal issue #7684 about this.

I think this is possible even through the REST API isn’t it?

REST API does allow creating new slides and presentations, but REST API does not allow changing the normal behaviour of Solibri when checking is done.

In this specific case, rather than using the lining, the casing thickness should have been used in the equation.

    https://standards.buildingsmart.org/IFC/RELEASE/IFC2x3/TC1/HTML/ifcsharedbldgelements/lexical/ifcdoorliningproperties.htm

However, the casing thickness 50mm is still incorrect and should actually be 77mm:
    ab68d749-b56d-4f7c-be73-10c0a9fc8b5a-image.png

As you stated, overriding the complete transparency, you can see its geometry:
    9cf00121-417f-478b-8927-0f3cf2cdc907-image.png

So, you are correct, that these doors aren’t modeled correctly and can’t accurately have their accessible width checked based on how the opening was modeled. The opening should have only gone to 1m without that extra portion for the casing that isn’t actually cutting/voiding the wall.

I reproduced this with the officebuilding.ifc model that comes with Solibri:

I’ve logged this issue with our R&D to investigate for a fix.

    Hi @Victoria-Volina ,

you have two options as far as I know,
first comes with each rule set, some of which give you the ability to categorize the issues.
For example, SOL/230/1.1, if I use GUID as cathegory I would have each component as a single category issue.9ddce14e-5a57-4b80-80c8-25efc625b9e0-image.png

Your second option is using Autorun “maxsnapshotsincategory”, please check out the Autorun Documentation
assuming your ruleset categories are setup the way you want, you can set a high limit to the category to force autorun to generate a presentation slide on each issue.
<autocomment zoom=“TRUE” maxsnapshotsincategory=“1000”/> would probably give you plenty

I would advice you to consider carefully your methodology and how you are communicating issues back to your team. Too many single issues can be overwelhming and can aslo cause you too loose sight of what you are trying to achieve.

    Have fun, Cheers
