@vigneshraj Please use rule 230 (Property Rule Template with Component Filters). It should give you what you want.

There is a similar solution I just posted for clash using a Property Reference Parameter in the UI: https://society.solibri.com/topic/2529/compairing-certian-parameter-of-clashed-components/5

You can use the same idea using a component distance check based on max distance visualization example, but modifying it to minimum distance in the code:
    https://solibri.github.io/Developer-Platform/latest/distanceVisualizationExample.html

The DistanceVisualizationExample above is included in the rule examples on github: https://github.com/Solibri/api-examples

This should be possible with IDS. We are building support for IDS in Solibri, but since the standard has not been released yet, we haven’t released the functionality. Related discussion here.

Hi Paul, Solibri academic program launched with the basic stage end of July 2023, so it is a good place for beginners to start training with Solibri, a lot of free self-learning content, together with Tips & Tricks documents that teaches smart workflows in Solibri usage. We are going to launch the next advanced stage in Jan 2024 which is intended to onboard trainers for advanced usage of Solibri besides classroom & workshops for subscribing universities and their students. Is it worth it? you need to try it to find out! if you are a new user and want to learn the right way to use Solibri from the start then you will find yourself in the right place to learn. As a student, you can ask your university/professor who obtained Solibri academic licensing packages - NFRs (free) and/or subscription - to send a list with your name and your colleagues to the Solibri partner in your country where your university obtained the academic licenses from, we resume the registration once we get the list of student(s) name(s) from our partner. Hope to see you onboard!

    Best Regards

    Solibri 9.13.5 has been released!

IFC import handles now special characters correctly.
UTF-8 is now the default encoding for IFC.

Hi not sure if I understood your question properly but

I think you should establish a comprehensive BIM Execution Plan (BEP) that outlines all the necessary requirements for project participants to follow. Here’s an example of some key inclusions:

    Shared Object Family for Coordinates:

It’s advisable to include a requirement for setting up a shared object family that represents the coordinate location. This shared object family should be consistently used by all disciplines. When the models are imported into Solibri or any other BIM software, this shared coordinate family will make it easier to verify that all models are correctly positioned according to the project’s coordinates. Ensuring this consistency can save significant time and prevent coordination errors.

Naming Conventions for Floors and Levels:

Specify a standardized naming convention for floors and levels. For instance, using “Level 0,” “Level 1,” and so on. This consistency simplifies communication and ensures everyone understands the hierarchy of the building components.

    IFC Export Requirements:

Define clear guidelines for exporting models in the IFC format. This should include requirements for naming conventions and property sets. For example:

Specify that models must include IFC naming and value conventions. This ensures that exported IFC files contain accurate and standardized information.

Emphasize the importance of assigning the correct property sets for IFC elements such as IFCsite, IFCbuilding, IFCwall, and others. This ensures that the BIM data complies with industry standards and is structured correctly for downstream use.

Highlight the need to provide specific information in property sets, such as fire ratings for walls (e.g., 30min/60min/120min), wall type (Internal/External), and load-bearing status. This information is crucial for accurate analysis and validation, especially in software like Solibri.

There’s obviously more but by including these requirements in the BEP, you set clear expectations for all project participants, ensuring consistency, data accuracy, and efficient collaboration. This proactive approach helps prevent issues that can arise from inconsistent data and incomplete model information. It ultimately contributes to the successful execution of the BIM project.

For us, We use Solibri for multiple functions:

Clash detections between MEP & Architecture Differences between Structural and Architectural Slots & ProvisionForVoid planning Quality Check for Modelling quality of Architecture

each one takes a different time, depending on the stage of the project and the size of the project.

I’m interested to see your use cases and how long it takes to finish each one.

    Thank you

    @Mohammadi
This information is something that you’d feed in as parameters. When you sum the widths doors of a space, that should be more than Total Width of Doors. For example, if you have an auditorium that can have 500 occupants, it should have at least that much door width when they’re summed together. Each individual door then should be at least as wide as the minimum width.

I am happy to report that we have now recovered from the outage. Access to Solibri Office as well as SSC is now back online.

    Kind regards,
